Data Collection & Verification

To ensure a secure environment and prevent platform abuse, we collect:

  • Contact & Identity: Mobile numbers (for WhatsApp, LINE, and SMS verification) and email addresses.
  • Technical Data: We capture IP addresses for every upload to ensure compliance with our terms and to prevent fraudulent activity.
  • Payment Data: All payments are processed securely via Stripe. VidThanks does not store your credit card details on our servers.

Video Storage & Retention

Your content is hosted securely via Cloudinary. We prioritize data minimization:

  • Default Deletion: Videos are automatically deleted from our servers after 30 days.
  • Extended Storage: Users may elect to extend this period to 90 days or indefinitely through their account settings.
  • Security: Videos are private and only accessible via the secure links generated by our system.

Content Monitoring

To protect all parties, we monitor uploads for prohibited content. We reserve the right to review and deny videos that are graphic, violent, or defamatory.

International Compliance

We operate globally and adhere to major data protection frameworks (including GDPR, CCPA, and PDPA). We comply with all valid legal subpoenas and law enforcement requests.
